Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Plant City is seeking an Electro Mechanic I to perform preventative maintenance on thermoforming machinery and related systems. You will coordinate downtime with lead process technicians and learn on the night shift, with potential wage progression after training.

You will work closely with maintenance leadership to keep chillers, compressors and HVAC operating effectively, while maintaining safe, clean work areas and using standard hand tools.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical systems and machine functions.
• Ability to read, write and understand schematics.
• Ability to read and understand shop orders and production documents.
• Accurately record and maintain production records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance on thermoforming machines.
• Ensure that auxiliary equipment (chillers, compressors, HVAC) is operational.
• Own and use necessary hand tools for maintenance activities.
• Ensure safety guarding is functional on all machinery.
• Coordinate downtime schedule for preventative maintenance with lead process techs.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area at all times.

Location : Plant City

Wage :Starting at $33.61/hr

Shift : Dight Shift (Would train on day shift)

* Once trained and some training programs completed they would be eligible for wage progression *

While reporting to the Maintenance Manager as the Electro Mechanic, you will be responsible for working closely with the lead process technicians to coordinate machine downtime to perform routine preventative maintenance on thermoforming machines.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct preventative maintenance on thermoforming machines.
• Ensure that auxiliary equipment is operational i.e. chiller, compressor, HVAC.
• Own and use all necessary hand tools required for maintenance activities.
• Ensure safety guarding is functional on all machinery.
• Work with lead process techs to implement downtime schedule for preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area at all times.
• Duties include but are not limited to the above.
