Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a full-time Echocardiography Technician for the day shift. You will perform echocardiographic imaging and related cardiac testing, ensuring accurate diagnoses and patient comfort throughout procedures.

Required 2-year degree or accredited echocardiography program completion, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Preference given to candidates with 1 year of echocardiography experience in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in related field or graduation from an accredited Echocardiography Technology program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: 1 year of echocardiography experience in a comparable healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.
• Perform cardiac testing procedures such as Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring Scanning, and Pacemaker checks to support quality diagnosis & treatment of patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients about the procedure to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
