Job summary

Melwood is seeking a custodial professional at Ft. Belvoir, VA to perform cleaning duties under the Custodial Foreman. Core hours are 7:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with an hourly wage of $17.84.

Qualifications

• Three to six months of training or experience, or ability to learn essential functions.
• Background check and drug screening required; must be able to obtain/maintain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop hallways, stairs, and offices.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash.
• Dust horizontal surfaces.
• Empty and wash ashtrays.
• Wax and buff floors.
• Clean glass and windows.
• Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
• Sweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalks.
• Polish kick panels and fixtures.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Vacuum rugs.
• Mix cleaning solutions.
• Maintain issued equipment.
• Notify supervisor when supplies are needed.
• All other duties per Custodial Foreman.
