Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodian in Buffalo, NY to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role requires following daily schedules, operating cleaning equipment, and adhering to safety rules.

No formal education is required; 3–6 months training or experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license may be required; forklift certification could be needed. The position includes Monday–Friday shifts and a $16.00/hour wage with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed safety and task training certification. Forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties according to the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
