Day Shift Control Room Operator 1

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY)

Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Control Room Operator is responsible for operating equipment and performing duties to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the Flaking department supersacks. The goal is to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent within a designated period after hire;

Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings;
  • Stand-up forklift experience, including reach trucks preferred;
  • Computer skills for navigating systems.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS

  • Inspect materials and products for defects and conformance to specifications;
  • Record production data;
  • Operate machinery controls;
  • Weigh and measure materials;
  • Mark materials and samples as instructed;
  • Maintain machinery and work areas;
  • Transfer materials using industrial trucks or hand trucks;
  • Package and stack materials;
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts;
  • Verify product quality and weight;
  • Operate sealing machines;
  • Transport finished pallets to storage;
  • Perform washouts and changeovers;
  • Shovel or scoop materials;
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, including 5S and autonomous maintenance;
  • Transfer inventory via electronic scanning and paperwork;
  • Support continuous improvement activities;
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies;
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all regulations;
  • Keep equipment and work areas organized;
  • Follow all environmental, health, safety, and security requirements, including hazardous waste management.

Training

  • Follow the company’s written training program for this position.
