Job summary

AllTek Staffing & Resource Group, Inc. is assisting a local machine shop in finding an experienced CNC machinist for a daylight shift. The role requires setting up CNC mills and lathes, changing tools, editing G-code, and performing quality checks on parts produced.

Reading blueprints is essential; some programming to write or modify code is preferred. The position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with CNC mill and lathe setup and operation.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Programming experience preferred but not required; able to edit existing code.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes (vertical/horizontal).
• Change tooling as needed to complete jobs.
• Read and interpret blueprints; write/edit CNC programs as jobs come in.
• Start and monitor CNC programs, unload parts, perform quality checks.
• Document travelers and assist with basic preventive maintenance.
