Responsibilities

• Assists in the admission of patients, orientation to unit, and hospital routine.
• Responds to patient needs with direct assistance or by reporting.
• Carries out delegated patient care tasks within the nursing plan of care.
• Maintains patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Access to medication/supply room to retrieve items for patient care.
• Keeps a well-stocked, clean patient environment.
• Participates in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Participates in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Performs waived testing per unit competency.
• Supports patient throughput and customer satisfaction initiatives.
