Qualifications

• Active Missouri CNA certification required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Previous CNA, long-term care, skilled nursing, nursing home, rehabilitation, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to resident care.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures, and direction from licensed nursing staff.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of a CNA position, including standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on resident care throughout the day.
• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility following safety procedures.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, weight).
• Observe residents for changes and report concerns to the nurse.
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Provide comfort, encouragement, and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and maintaining proper nutrition as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
• Keep rooms and common areas clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and facility procedures.
• Work closely with RNs, LPNs, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, and choice in care.
