Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the NMG Primary Care location in Tinley Park. This full-time day position supports physicians in ambulatory care, performing a broad range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care.

Ideal candidates have two or more years of CMA experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program, plus American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of recent experience as Medical Assistant in a physician office setting or completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to type proficiently.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Presents a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance.
• Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients; guides patients and customers as needed.
• Performs patient care under supervision of a physician or licensed nurse.
• Records medical histories, vital signs, and prepares patients for procedures.
• Administers injections and medications as directed by physician.
• Supports clinical and clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations.
