Job summary

SouthernCarlson is seeking a Class B Commercial Driver for a full-time daytime role in Phoenix, AZ. You will safely deliver to construction sites, perform routine vehicle inspections, and maintain accurate delivery records while upholding exceptional customer service.

The position requires a valid CDL B, experience with heavy vehicles, and the ability to lift 75–100 lbs. A clean DMV record and DOT screening are required; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with no restrictions.
• Experience operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs.
• Experience with flatbed trucks, air brake systems, and manual transmissions.
• Clean DMV record and ability to pass DOT background and drug screening.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as part of deliveries.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Safely load, transport, and unload merchandise at customer locations.
• Plan efficient delivery routes while adjusting for traffic or construction conditions.
• Pull and verify orders to ensure accuracy with delivery manifests.
• Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery-related issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and follow company procedures.
