Job summary

Windmill Village Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role performs routine cleaning throughout the facility following federal, state, and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, disinfecting restrooms, replenishing supplies, reporting maintenance needs, and assisting with room preparation for new admissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare facility housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be dependable, courteous, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common areas daily.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and other restroom fixtures.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish paper products, soap, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety regulations.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Assist with room preparation for new admissions and resident transfers.
• Respond promptly to spills and emergency cleaning situations.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in facility training programs and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Administrator.
