Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA, seeks a compassionate NP-PA to balance inpatient hospital care with outpatient heart failure clinic duties. You will collaborate with the medical director and a team of APPs to deliver high-quality cardiology care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
• Master of Science in Nursing is required for Nurse Practitioners.
• Current Massachusetts RN registration is required.
• Nurse Practitioner Certificate and/or Physician Assistant Certificate required.
• Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioner’s License or PA License/Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, care, and manage patients in an outpatient clinic or inpatient setting.
• Conduct hospital rounds as directed by assigned physicians.
• Assist in coordination of care and discharge planning.
• Perform exams, episodic illness visits and follow-up visits.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic testing and prescribe medications as needed.
