Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. in Middletown, RI is seeking a talented NP-PA to join the Cardiology team. This full-time position offers a day shift with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include hospital rounds, coordinating care and discharge planning, performing exams and visits, and providing guidance to triage nurses, with CPT-compliant charting throughout the patient encounters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
• Certification to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
• Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required for Nurse Practitioners.
• Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current Massachusetts RN registration is required.
• Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
• Over 3 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hospital rounds as directed by the assigned Physician, Office Manager or designee.
• Assess patient progress and assist in coordination of care and discharge planning.
• Perform exams, episodic illness visits and follow-up care visits; may order labs and prescribe medications.
• Act as a resource/consultant to phone triage nurses and handle calls from parents as requested.
• Chart all findings according to CPT billing regulations.

Hours: Full-time – 40 hours.

Shift: Day shift – no weekend, holiday or on-call

• Chart all findings completely and accurately in accordance with (Current Procedural Terminology) CPT billing regulations pertaining to patient visits.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required.
• Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
• Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
• Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
• Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
• Over 3 months experience.

Pay Range

USD $60.64 - USD $77.65 /Hr.
