Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible for licensure in Louisiana.
• Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health settings preferred.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to lead milieu management and coordinate care with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.
• Identifies risk levels and discharge planning tailored to each client.
• Implements psychiatric nursing interventions to promote patient wellness.
• Administers medications safely and provides patient education on therapies.
• Maintains accurate medical records and follows policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Documents patient progress thoroughly and communicates needs to staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates duties and supports staff, advocating for patient safety and quality care.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and licensure maintenance.
