Qualifications

• Louisiana RN license required or eligible for licensure.
• One year or more work experience in psych/mental health facility preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized patient care per physician orders and nursing standards.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, and behavioral evaluations.
• Develop and update nursing care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications safely and monitor effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Document in EMR accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and compliance with CMS and state standards.
