Job summary

Mitchell Plastics is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician for the day shift in Charlestown, Indiana. The role involves maintaining assembly machines, troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and supporting equipment start-up and change-overs.

The ideal candidate will have PLC knowledge, experience with pneumatic circuits, and the ability to read drawings and perform mechanical work. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems; PLC-based equipment and some PLC program knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and update electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
• Perform electrical work safely and legally.
• Maintain assembly machines and equipment per PM schedules and suggest improvements.
• Respond to breakdowns to maintain process uptime and assist in continuous improvement.
• Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms.
• Support production equipment start-up and change-over and assist in new equipment commissioning.
