Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician 2 at The Heart Hospital - Plano. The role supports Anesthesiologists before, during, and after procedures, prepping equipment and stocking supplies in the OR and related areas, including the GI Lab and Radiology.

The position is full-time with a 6:30 AM–3:00 PM shift, Mon-Fri with call, located in Plano, TX, within the Anesthesia Services department. Strong knowledge of anesthesia standards and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Arranges drugs and sets up the instrument table for anesthesia procedures in ORs and satellite areas.
• Ensures anesthesia cart and supply cabinets have adequate supplies for procedures.
• Assists anesthesiologist by passing supplies, instruments, and lines.
• Cleans tables, equipment, and work area after each case.
• Responds to supply and drug requests from nursing/anesthesia staff and delivers items as needed.
• Washes and preps anesthesia equipment for sterilization; verifies proper working order and reports issues.
