Job summary

Chrysalis in Utah is hiring a Day Service Professional. You will work 8:00am to 4:00pm, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a safe, respectful environment and communicating decisions to the team.

As a role-model and mentor, you will facilitate activities in day programs and the community to raise quality of life, including outings to movies, fishing, and games. A positive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Be able to work from 8 am to 4 pm.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form.
• Able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within time frames.
• Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations.
• Have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals at the Day Program and in the community to keep them safe, respected, mentored and engaged.
• Create opportunities to improve quality of life through activities like movies, fishing, bowling and games.
• Support daily living and encourage participation in community activities.
