Job summary

Chrysalis of Ogden, UT in Layton area is seeking a Direct Support Professional for its day program. You will work with individuals in workplace settings and in the community to create opportunities that enhance quality of life, safety, respect and mentorship.

This position runs 7am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with holidays closed. Must pass a background check and have a Utah driver's license to drive the company vehicle. We offer competitive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Be able to work 7am–4:30pm, Mon–Fri, closed on major holidays.
• Must pass Criminal Background Check.
• Must be willing to drive a company vehicle to transport individuals.
• Must have a Utah driver’s license and be approved to drive company vehicle.
• Capable of communicating well in verbal and written form.
• Accurate program documentation within timeframes.
• Good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations.
• Positive attitude.

The Direct Support Professional in the day program is the lifeblood of the Chrysalis Team. You work hand in hand with the individuals in a workplace/training setting to ensure they are safe, respected, mentored and having fun. Direct Support Professionals Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals in the day program work with the individuals in workplace setting and in the community. Your main job is to create opportunities for the individuals to increase their quality of life.

Position Qualifications

• Be able to work between the hours of 7am-4:30pm Monday through Friday and closed all major holidays.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
• Must be willingto drive a company vehicle to transport individuals.
• Must be an approved company driver in order to drive a company vehicle:
  • Must be at least 21 years or older with:
    • If 21 years old: No moving violations and or accidents.
    • If 22 years old or older: Must have no more than 2 moving violations or accidents in a 3-year period.
    • A valid drivers license in the state of Utah or be able to provide a current driving record
• Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form
• Able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames
• Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations
• Have a positive attitude
