Job summary

New Horizons Rehabilitation, Inc. is seeking a Day Program Support to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Life Skills Day Program.

You will help individuals reach personal goals by teaching daily living activities, coordinating transport to resources and events, and supporting personal care needs during program sessions. Ideal candidates communicate well, manage time effectively, and solve problems to support participants.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in activities of daily living.
• Transport to and from community resources and events.
• Teach new skills.
• Assist with personal care needs while in Life Skills Day Program.

Day Program Support -- Life Skills

New Horizons is looking for a Day Program Support employee to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals. A Day Program Support employee will work with the individual(s), providing instruction in activities of daily living, transporting to and from community resources and events, teaching new skills, and assisting with personal care needs while the individual(s) attends the Life Skills Day Program.

A successful Day Program Support employee will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive relationship with the individual(s) they support. The Day Program Support employee will need to utilize problem solving, time management, and organizational skills while working with the individual(s) they support.

Day Program Support employees make a positive difference in the life of the individual(s) they support.

Job Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification

• Background report and driving record required
• TB test required
