Job summary

The Direct Support Professional in the day program at Chrysalis plays a vital role as a mentor and friend to individuals in a workplace and community setting.

You will help ensure safety, respect, and enjoyment while facilitating life-enhancing activities, including learning, socializing, and daily living skills, with a focus on positive outcomes and person-centered support.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form.
• Able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames.
• Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations.
• Have a positive attitude.
• Must have experience as a direct support professional.

The Direct Support Professional in the day program is the lifeblood of the Chrysalis Team. You work hand in hand with the individuals in a workplace/training setting to ensure they are safe, respected, mentored and having fun. Day Program Staff Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals in the day program work with the individuals in workplace setting and in the community. Your main job is to create opportunities for the individuals to increase their quality of life.
