Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Day Program Professional to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured daytime setting, leading engaging activities and promoting independence and community inclusion.

You will implement individual service plans, ensure health and safety, assist with personal care and transportation, and advance through the LEAP Program for leadership and career development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• GED or High School Diploma.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured activities including social, recreational, and community-based programming.
• Support individuals in building independence, social skills, and daily living skills.
• Implement individual service plans and progress toward goals.
• Ensure health, safety, and dignity during program hours, transportation, and outings.
• Provide personal care and administer medications as needed (training provided).
• Promote inclusion and positive community engagement.
• Utilize crisis prevention and intervention strategies to support individuals safely.
• Complete daily logs and incident reports.
