Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living in Scranton seeks a Day Program Professional to support individuals in a structured daytime setting, leading activities, building skills, and promoting independence and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• GED or High School Diploma
• Compassionate, dependable, and team- oriented
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Lead structured activities including social, recreational, and community-based programming
• Support individuals in building independence, social skills, and daily living skills
• Implement individual service plans and progress toward personal goals
• Ensure health, safety, and dignity of individuals during program hours, transportation, and community outings
• Provide personal care and administer medications as needed (training provided)
• Promote inclusion and positive community engagement
• Utilize crisis prevention and intervention strategies to support individuals safely
• Complete required documentation including daily logs and incident reports
• Transport individuals and supervise activities in community settings
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, organized home environment

What You’ll Do as a Day Program Professional
