Community Options, Inc. in Woodbury, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Day Program Manager to lead a team delivering person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will develop day habilitation activities, coordinate community activities, and support volunteers in educational programs.

Starting pay is $46,000 per year, with hours from 8am to 4pm. The role requires coordinating staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with families

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; knowledge of relevant regulations

Responsabilidades

• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed.
• Manage team performance through communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and recognition.
• Assist with obtaining and processing referrals.
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum.
• Communicate with families/guardians as needed.
• Ensure individuals are supported per ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Manage relationships with families and guardians of individuals in care.
• May be assigned additional tasks and responsibilities; cooperate with licensing and department staff during inspections

Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are actively seeking an experienced Day Program Manager in Woodbury, New Jersey. The Day Program Manager leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will develop and implement all day habilitation activities, assisting individuals in scheduled and regular community activities, and/ or volunteer educational programs.

Starting pay is $46,000/per year

Hours: 8am - 4pm

Responsibilities

• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
• Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
• Assist with obtaining and processing referrals
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum
• Communicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as needed
• Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Working Conditions

• May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
