You will oversee day-to-day operations, programs, and staffing to achieve programmatic goals and ensure ISP/PCP alignment, including medication management and family communication. The role emphasizes compliance, documentation, and collaboration with families, guardians, and licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards for IDD supports.
• Background checks including criminal, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to provide person-centered care tailored to individuals with IDD.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum.
• Communicate with families and guardians as needed.
• Support ISP/PCP implementation including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management.
• Maintain program documentation and billable records accurately and timely.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Maintain relationships with families and guardians.
• Ensure locations and vehicles are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.

We are actively seeking an experienced Residential Program Manager in Hackensack, New Jersey. The Program Manager leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will support teams with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals.

Starting pay is $60,000/ per year

Responsibilities

• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
• Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum
• Communicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as needed
• Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
• Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies including groceries, medications, and cleaning supplies
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Working Conditions

• Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the community
• Schedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hours
• May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
