Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ full-time experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background, criminal, child abuse, and drug checks required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day program team to deliver person-centered care.
• Develop and implement day habilitation activities.
• Coordinate community activities and volunteer programs.
• Maintain effective communication with families and guardians.
• Ensure documentation and billable records are accurate.
• Oversee ISP/PCP coordination including medication management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and program inspections.

Job description

Community Options, Inc.is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are actively seeking an experiencedDay Program ManagerinMercer County; New Jerseythe Day Program Manager leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will develop and implement all day habilitation activities, assisting individuals in scheduled and regular community activities, and/or volunteer educational programs.

Starting pay is $46.000/per year

Responsibilities

• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
• Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
• Assist with obtaining and processing referrals
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum
• Communicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as needed
• Ensure individuals are supported by their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Working Conditions
