Community Options, Inc. in Mercer County, New Jersey, seeks an experienced Day Program Manager to lead a team delivering person-centered habilitation services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on developing and implementing daily activities, coordinating community-based programs, and overseeing staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed.
• Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
• Assist with obtaining and processing referrals
• Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum
• Communicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as needed
• Ensure individuals are supported by their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are actively seeking an experienced Day Program Manager in Mercer County; New Jersey the Day Program Manager leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will develop and implement all day habilitation activities, assisting individuals in scheduled and regular community activities, and/or volunteer educational programs.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities


• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Working Conditions
