Job summary

Barber National Institute in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Day Community programs. This part-time role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them gain skills and independence in daytime activities.

You will implement goal plans, document progress notes, assist with personal care, and help prepare daily activity schedules as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance.
• FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement goal plans and progress notes.
• Assist with personal care.
• Prepare activity schedules.
• Work with a team of professionals to support program participants.
