Job summary

Walnut Street Center is a nonprofit human service agency that provides support services to adults with Intellectual Disabilities, assisting them in living engaged and meaningful lives in Bedford, MA. The Day Program Direct Support Professional CSW 3 role offers daytime hours Mon-Fri and hands-on support to individuals in our Bedford Day Program.

You will help with daily living activities, community access, and documentation of goals, with paid training from the start and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive is required.
• Ability to pass a driving and background check is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.
• Ability to complete training both online and in person is required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living such as feeding, dressing, toileting and other aspects of personal care, and nutritional needs.
• Providing individuals with supports to ensure access to community activities.
• Assisting with maintenance of environment.
• Participating in the development, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of Individual Service Plan or Day Habilitation Plan goals which focus on building skills and increasing independence.
• Providing therapeutic support and assisting in the implementation of Behavior Support Plans, if appropriate.
• Transporting individuals.
• Medication Administration

Seeking qualified Direct Support Professionals to work full-time directly with adults with intellectual disabilities in our Day Program in Bedford, MA.

The Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living such as feeding, dressing, toileting and other aspects of personal care, and nutritional needs
