Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain the common areas of office buildings, apartments, and other facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning lobby glass, polishing chrome, vacuuming elevator cabs, trash removal, restroom upkeep, and reporting issues to management.

The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday with early hours, exhibit punctuality, and follow safety procedures while delivering consistent, thorough cleaning and upkeep to support building

• Reliability in showing up on time and following schedules.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and protect building assets.
• Attention to detail in cleaning tasks across common areas.
• Salary and work conditions are commensurate with janitorial duties.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily.
• Inspect building exterior and pick up trash, dispose properly.
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby daily or as needed.
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas as needed.
• Sweep building entrances and clean marks on walls and doors.
• Police lobby during high-traffic times to keep floors clean.
• Report lights out to Management Office.
• Report solicitors to Management Office.
• Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day.
• Empty all trash receptacles in assigned areas.
• Vacuum carpeted floors; dust mop lobby floors twice daily.
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.
