Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Day Porter to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces during business hours. You will focus on high-traffic areas, respond to immediate cleaning needs, and ensure restrooms, common spaces, and entryways stay presentable all day.

The role supports employees, clients, and visitors by upholding hygiene standards and following safety procedures, while contributing to ABM’s commitment to quality facilities management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas throughout the day.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Monitor restrooms and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Clean spills, fingerprints, smudges, and debris as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners.
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, and railings.
• Set up or break down rooms for meetings or events as requested.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor.
• Follow established safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff and visitors.
