Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a reliable Day Porter in Phoenix, AZ to maintain lobby and common areas of office buildings and other facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, polishing, vacuuming, trash removal, and reporting maintenance needs to the Management Office.

The role requires punctuality, dependability, and adherence to safety procedures. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities to support building engineers and assist with daily operations as

Responsibilities

  • Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors.
  • Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily.
  • Inspect building exterior and pick up trash; empty exterior receptacles.
  • Check restrooms twice daily; sweep entrances and common areas.
  • Assist building engineer daily as needed.

Job Details

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

  • Spot clean the lobby glass doors
  • Polish chrome on lobby doors
  • Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
  • Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
  • Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
  • Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
  • Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
  • Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
  • Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
  • Sweep building entrances
  • Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
  • Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
  • Report any solicitors to the Management Office
  • Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
  • Vacuum carpeted floors
  • Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
  • Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
