CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and order in office buildings and other facilities in Colorado Springs, CO. The role emphasizes consistent attendance, dependability, and a strong focus on safety while performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include cleaning lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and common areas, as well as reporting issues to Management.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean lobby glass doors and polish chrome on lobby doors.
• Vacuum elevator cabs, wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice daily.
• Inspect building exterior, pick up trash, and empty exterior receptacles.
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor; sweep entrances.
• Check restrooms twice daily; vacuum lobby daily; sweep stairwells as needed.
• Remove debris from landscaped areas; sweep building entrances.
• Report lights out and solicitors to Management Office; police lobby as needed.
• Vacuum carpets; dust mop lobby floors twice daily; polish elevator railings and call buttons.
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion.

Job Details

A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
• Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office
• Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day. Empty all trash receptacles
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
