Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Day Porter to maintain common areas in office buildings, apartments, or other facilities in clean and orderly condition. Duties include cleaning lobby glass, polishing chrome, vacuuming elevators, inspecting exteriors, emptying trash, and reporting issues to Management.

The role emphasizes punctuality, dependability, and adherence to safety procedures while performing routine cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment. DailyPay option may be available.

• Safety and Security- Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors
• Polish chrome on lobby doors
• Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
• Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
• Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
• Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
• Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
• Sweep building entrances
• Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
• Report any lights out to the Management Office
• Report any solicitors to the Management Office
• Police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc.
• Vacuum carpeted floors
• Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
• Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
• Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion
