Job summary

HANAC, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and clients. The role may involve minor repair and maintenance in public areas.

Work schedule is Monday through Sunday with a shift to be determined on hire. Pay is $17 per hour. Must have a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years of custodial experience, strong customer service, and the ability to operate a tablet and Outlook for

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication abilities.
Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Perform custodial and commercial cleaning duties as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness of facilities through dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash & recycling removal.
Conduct floor care including buffing, waxing, and polishing.
Assist in cleaning tasks as needed.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
Assist in work orders with Superintendent.
Assist in preparation of physical audit and inspections.
Perform all other duties as necessary.
Must be able to work overtime and cover vacations.
Subject to take maintenance related training/certifications.
