Job summary

OnPoint Building Services is hiring a Day Porter/DayCleaner for our Richmond area client sites. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with responsibilities including trash disposal, vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning, and restroom upkeep.

A clean background check and reliable transportation are required. Experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation to job location.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collection and disposal of trash (small and large cans).
• Vacuuming (upright and vacuum backpack).
• Dusting and cleaning glass.
• Wiping and disinfecting surfaces.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Restroom cleaning, restocking, and replenishing.

Job Skills / Requirements

Day Porter/DayCleaner | Richmond

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

General Purpose:

Ensuring the accurate and timely cleaning of a Commercial or warehouse facility. You will need a clean background check and the ability to pass a drug screen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collection and disposal of trash (small and large cans).
• Vacuuming (upright and vacuum backpack).
• Dusting.
• Cleaning glass.
• Wiping and disinfecting surfaces.
• Sweeping.
• Mopping.
• Restroom cleaning, restocking, and replenishing.
• Office area cleaning.
• Ensures timely completion of assigned cleaning area(s) according to schedule.
• Follows safety guidelines, quality standards, and ensures customer service expectations are met.
• Performs other janitorial duties as needed.

Qualifications/Education/Work Experience:

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation to job location.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires bending, twisting, lifting (up to 25 pounds), stretching, reaching, and standing for extended periods of time.
