Job summary

SBM Management is seeking a dependable Day Porter to join our custodial team. The role focuses on floor and surface cleaning, waste removal, light maintenance, and adherence to safety rules to ensure clean environments for clients.

Strong customer service and teamwork with coworkers and customers are essential. A valid driver’s license is required if driving a SBM vehicle, and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
• Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting).
• Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing).
• Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins).
• Light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supplies).
• Follow safety rules and company procedures.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Transport small equipment and assist with restocking and cleaning duties.
