The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and an IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card, plus reliable transportation to cover multiple campuses as needed. Workload includes early reporting, setup tasks, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Report to assigned school at the designated time
• Unlock doors and gates as directed by location
• Turn on lighting as required by location
• Hang flags (U.S. and Arizona) as directed
• Respond to calls for assistance from administrative staff
• Maintain common area and exterior trash receptacles
• Assist with Lunch Room cleanup
• Set up tables, chairs, and stage as needed
• Distribute school supplies as directed
• Sweep and blow exterior sidewalks and playgrounds
• Notify supervisor of needed repairs
• Follow directions of Building Manager and staff
• All other duties as assigned

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to assigned school at the designated time
• Unlock all common area doors and gates as determined by location
• Turn on all lighting as determined by location
• Hang U.S. and Arizona flags as determined by location
• Respond to calls for assistance as directed by administrative office staff
• Maintain common area trash receptacles
• Maintain all exterior trash receptacles
• Assist with Lunch Room clean up
• Set-up tables, chairs, and stage as needed by location
• Assist in distribution of school supply deliveries
• Sweep and blow down exterior sidewalks and playground areas
• Notify Building Manager/Site Support Technician of needed repairs
• Follow direction of Building Manager and Administrative Staff
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: The Day Porter position requires the candidate to be able to clearly and effectively communicate with school and District staff to include following directions and respond appropriately to radio communications for various circumstances. The position also requires the candidate to have reliable transportation so when needed, they are able to travel to other campuses for coverage.

Minimum Required Experience: High School Diploma or GED is required; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Valid IVP Level OneAZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Employment Information: 26-27 school year; 20 hours per week; 208 days per school year
