Job summary

ARGU INC is seeking a Male Day Porter to join our team in South Frederick, MD. The role focuses on keeping common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for employees and visitors.

Shifts run Monday-Thursday 7:00 am–11:00 am and Friday 7:00 am–1:00 pm. The position requires reliability, physical stamina, and basic cleaning equipment handling. Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or porter experience preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Able to operate standard cleaning equipment safely.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas, restrooms, lobbies, and hallways throughout the day.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other restroom essentials as needed.
• Remove trash and recyclables from designated areas and replace liners.
• Respond promptly to spills, messes, and other immediate cleaning needs.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Monitor and maintain the appearance of entryways, elevators, and high-traffic areas.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding supply needs or facility maintenance issues.

-Monday-Thursday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am
-Friday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
