Job summary

ARGU INC is seeking a Male Day Porter to join our team in South Frederick, MD, handling routine cleaning and upkeep to keep spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for employees and visitors. The role supports high-traffic areas and requires dependable, self-motivated individuals able to lift weights as needed.

Schedule runs Monday-Thursday 7:00 am–11:00 am and Friday 7:00 am–1:00 pm. Training and development are provided, with a focus on maintaining a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter services preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with minimal supervision needed.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.
• Must be able to lift up to 30–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas, restrooms, lobbies, and hallways throughout the day.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other restroom essentials as needed.
• Remove trash and recyclables from designated areas and replace liners.
• Respond promptly to spills, messes, and other immediate cleaning needs.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Monitor and maintain the appearance of entryways, elevators, and high-traffic areas.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding supply needs or facility maintenance issues.
