Job summary

Vonachen Group is seeking a General Cleaner in Normal, IL for a full-time 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3PM–11PM). You will perform cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom sanitation, while maintaining safety and high service levels. Must be reliable and customer-oriented.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), STD, LTD, PTO, and daily pay options. Starting pay is $16.00/hour, with additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining performance.
• Good communication and customer-oriented approach.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and work areas per health regulations.
• Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and trash removal across assigned areas.
• Stock and organize janitor supply rooms.
• Monitor building security and report hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning, gathering and emptying trash bins in designated building areas following all health and safety regulations.
• Stock, organize, and maintain janitor supply rooms as needed.
• Inform management immediately of any potential safety risks or hazards and/or needed repair work.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
• Complete other duties and special trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
