Job summary

Merchants Building Maintenance, LLC in Napa, CA is seeking a dedicated day porter to maintain a welcoming, pristine environment across lobbies, restrooms, and common areas. You will greet clients, assist with coffee service, and ensure high-touch surfaces are cleaned to our hygiene standards.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, and requires bilingual English–Spanish communication; prior cleaning or porter experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English–Spanish.
• Prior janitorial/porter experience is a plus.
• Able to greet clients and maintain a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Restrooms: Inspect and service general areas. Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors; restock supplies.
• Polish and clean elevators, lobbies, and common area corridors.
• Clean building entrance glass doors and frames.
• Maintain exterior grounds and parking areas.
• Empty interior and exterior trash; wipe down surfaces.
• Clean break areas, sanitation of counters, tables, and coffee machines.
• Maintain daily sign-in binder in janitors closet.
• Clean and disinfect door handles, handrails, and stair rails.
• Ensure eating areas are clean and sanitized.
• Disinfect restroom fixtures, counters, sinks, and dispensers.
• Disinfect furniture in common areas.
• Business casual attire required.

We are seeking a dedicated day porter to maintain a welcoming and pristine environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting clients, serving coffee, and ensuring that common areas—including restrooms, lobbies, elevators, and exterior grounds—are consistently clean and well-maintained. This role requires regular inspection and cleaning of high-touch surfaces, prompt waste removal, and meticulous attention to detail to uphold our corporate hygiene standards. Effective communication skills and a commitment to a safe, professional atmosphere are essential.

Responsabilities

• Restrooms: Inspect and service general areas. Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors. Clean counters and ledges, empty trash, restock paper products, and refill all dispensers.
• Police and clean all elevators, building lobbies, main elevator lobbies and common area corridors
• Clean all building entrance glass doors (including frames and sidelights)
• Police and clean exterior grounds (including tree grates), building entrances and parking lots
• Empty all interior lobby and exterior trash and cigarette receptacles as needed (where applicable) and damp wipe clean
• Break areas and vending areas—police general areas. Clean and disinfect counters, tables, coffee machines, ice machines, waste containers, and empty trash.
• Provide and maintain a janitor daily sign-in sheet in binder located within janitors closet
• Clean and disinfect door handles and handrails.
• Clean and disinfect open area staircase handrail.
• Clean and disinfect escalator hand rails (where applicable)
• Clean and disinfect eating area tabletops, countertops, sinks, cabinet fronts, and trash can exteriors in designated pantry or eating area
• Clean and disinfect all restroom fixtures, counters, sinks, toilets, back of pulls, urinals, and dispensers
• Disinfect plastic and/or leather furniture or other like surfaces in common areas
• Business Casual Attire Required.
