Vintage Grocers in Malibu seeks a reliable Grocery Day Porter to maintain a clean, safe store environment for customers and staff. You will clean floors, restrooms, entrances, break areas, and other facilities while providing courteous assistance and supporting daily store operations.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, or retail experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of grocery aisles, entrances, exits, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and spot-clean floors throughout the store.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and employee areas.
• Respond promptly to spills and other safety hazards.
• Dust shelves, fixtures, displays, windows, and equipment.
• Monitor store cleanliness throughout the day and perform continuous upkeep.
• Assist with basic store maintenance tasks and report repair needs to management.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in proper working order.
• Follow all company safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Provide courteous assistance to customers when needed.
• Support other store departments as assigned during busy periods.
