Job summary

Complete Cleaning Services, LLC is seeking a dependable Day Porter to support daily cleaning and facility upkeep at the Charleston County Main Library downtown. The hours are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, in Charleston, SC, with a pay rate of $15-16 per hour.

You will help maintain clean, safe spaces for staff and visitors, manage trash and supplies, and address spills while following safety procedures. This position emphasizes reliability and professional conduct in a public setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of hightraffic public areas including entrances, lobbies, restrooms, reading rooms, meeting spaces, and staff areas.
• Perform continuous touchpoint cleaning (door handles, railings, counters, tables, etc.).
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from library staff.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the building as needed.
• Restock restroom supplies and monitor inventory levels.
• Clean spills and address immediate sanitation needs to ensure safety.
• Support special events by preparing and cleaning designated areas.
• Maintain a professional, friendly presence while working around patrons and staff.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
