Job Title: Day Porter

Location: Carrboro, NC

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri - 9am - 1pm (4 hrs.)
• Mon-Thurs - 7pm - 11pm (4 hrs.)
• Fri - 7pm - 10pm (3 hrs)
• Sat-Sun - 4pm - 8pm (4 hrs)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our facilities team. The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property throughout the day. This role requires a proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to perform light cleaning tasks and restocking duties to ensure a clean, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning of high-traffic areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
• Monitor and restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
• Wipe down surfaces, remove trash, and maintain floors throughout the day
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills
• Ensure restrooms are clean and odor-free at all times
• Maintain a visible presence to support building cleanliness standards
• Clean and sanitize the gym locker room after the facility closes daily
• Notify management of any maintenance issues or safety concerns

Qualifications:

• Prior janitorial or porter experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs during shift

Work Environment:

This position is physically active and requires working indoors and occasionally outdoors. Must be comfortable interacting with the public and other staff throughout the day.
