Job Summary

This position involves maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of buildings and work sites. Staff will perform various cleaning duties to ensure an optimal level of cleanliness in all serviced locations.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using industrial equipment.
• Uses ladders, dusts, washes walls, cleans ceilings, and polishes fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds.
• Moves furniture and equipment for cleaning access.
• Removes stains using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Performs seasonal tasks like snow removal and yard work.

Additional duties include cleaning carpets, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining cleanliness of various areas as detailed in the original description.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic janitorial knowledge preferred.
• Good communication skills; English proficiency required for some roles.
• Maintains a neat appearance; uniform may be required.
• Attends safety and training sessions.
• Understands client needs and is punctual.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of janitorial or facilities experience desired.

Work Environment

Office and shop environments with moderate noise. Exposure to dust, fumes, cleaning products, and odors. Safety glasses may be required.

Physical Demands

Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and other repetitive movements. Vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, among others.
