Services for the UnderServed (S:US) in New York City is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in daily living, community-based activities, and classroom learning. The Day Habilitation Specialist role emphasizes skill development and safety in varied settings.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates Degree preferred.
• AMAP certified, SCIP-R trained, CPR & First Aid Trained.

Aufgaben

• Assists each consumer in skill development in independent living, adaptive behaviors, socialization and daily living.
• Supervises consumers in the community and in group sessions to reinforce learned skills.
• Leads group sessions and facilitates discussions to teach practical community skills.
• Provides progress reports and tracks valued outcomes per Day Habilitation Plan.
• Documents weekly outcomes in line with the Day Habilitation Plan.
