Job summary

Nishna Productions, Inc. in Glenwood, IA seeks a full-time Day Hab Instructor to provide direct training and support for individuals in Day Hab services. You will work under the Day Services Team Leader, fostering a therapeutic environment and helping participants meet personal goals.

The role includes charting progress, coordinating activities, and occasionally driving the agency van. Training in CPR/first aid and compliance with program policies is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching or instructional-style setting preferred.
• AA or BA degree preferred.
• Ability to relate to individuals with physical and mental challenges.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and maintain charting.
• Experience with behavior management strategies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct training to develop skills in community settings.
• Create a supportive, therapeutic atmosphere for individuals in Day Hab.
• Assist with personal goals and implement instructional activities.
• Document performance and maintain charts, incident, and daily reports.
• Schedule activities and coordinate with Day Services Team Leader.
• Drive van routes as assigned and supervise in community settings.
• Participate in safety procedures, CPR, and first aid training.
