Job summary

The Arc Oneida-Lewis invites you to join our Day Hab as a Direct Support Professional in Clinton, NY. You will model respect and dignity, assist with LIFEPlan/Day Habilitation Plan execution, provide direct care and supervision, and utilize community resources to support participants.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:30 AM–4:00 PM with no evenings or weekends. We offer superb benefits including a comprehensive package, generous PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with one year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities in an educational setting or health care facility.
• NYS Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote choices and preferences for individuals served.
• Assist in providing meaningful community-based experiences.
• Provide transportation for outings within the community per agency policies.
• Assist with activities of daily living and provide lifting assistance as needed.
• Recognize and report responses and health concerns to the team promptly.
• Maintain a neat and orderly program area and restock supplies.
