Job summary

US FOODS is seeking a Forklift Operator in Oklahoma City to move palletized loads from dock to warehouse slots and support night and day shift operations. You will operate forklifts, ensure pallets are secure, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

We offer guaranteed minimum 40 hours weekly, paid training, overtime, and comprehensive benefits starting on day one. This role is ideal for reliable individuals who value growth and teamwork within a leading food distribution company.

Qualifications

• Reads and writes legibly; basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to understand Voxware commands for warehouse operations.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; certification for material handling equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport pallet loads from dock to correct warehouse slots using powered equipment.
• Replenish pick slots from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
• Perform safety checks on equipment (battery, brakes, lift controls, fire extinguisher).
• Record product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
• Maintain aisle cleanliness and organize racks to prevent hazards.

BASIC PURPOSE

Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading dock. Operate forklift/high-lift in order to lower stock to ground level pick-level slots from higher level reserve slots during night shift & day shift, and to put received stock in higher level storage slots during the day shift using safe operating practices.

As a US FOODS® Forklift Operator you will be critical to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

• Transports pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
• Replenishes pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
• Performs operations and safety checks , including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher .
• Records all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
• Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks.

What you bring to the table

• Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related Experience: Job related certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience is preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.
